Pupil Outcomes

We have been very proud of the pupil outcomes at Thorogate School and are continuously striving to improve them further.

FS2 Outcomes

In July 2015 63% of our FS2 class achieved what is judged to be a Good Level of Development. This compares favourably with the national picture, which was 61% in 2014.

2014 Y1 Phonic Assessment Check

In June Y1 children take part in the Phonic Assessment Check. Whilst it will always vary according to cohorts of children, we have been very pleased with the progress the children have made.

KS2 Outcomes

In 2016 there was the introduction of new Y6 SATs that reported very differentyly than before.

Whilst attainment is lower that we would like, progress is slightly above expected.

Outcomes from previous years are below:

Attainment at Y6 is broadly equivalent to national, with each pupil representing 3.5%.  Unusually, reading saw a drop in 2015 as a small of pupils (3) missed achieving a level 4 by 2 marks.
